Oil and natural gas are still the lifeblood of our economy. Without it, our way of life stops. I do not think we fully understand how many different ways we use oil today. It is a vital ingredient in many of the products we use. Just try driving to the store. Even if you drive an electric car, many of its parts require oil.
Moreover, we do not yet have enough alternative sources of energy available to meet the needs of a growing country. Even as our population grows through children and immigration, that growth will require more energy.
Our only solution is to encourage businesses to build new, more efficient and cleaner refineries and to use new technology and drilling techniques to find oil and natural gas right here in Ohio. This will provide the needed high paying jobs for Ohioans. And we can do it better and cleaner than any other country in the world.
Note: We are still adding to this point with more information. We just wanted to get it out there. |
As a Constitutional Conservative representing the people of Northeast Ohio...
I pledge to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America by enacting legislation and reform that will protect the freedom of the American people and limit the power of the federal government.
I will endeavor to protect the liberties of the American people.
I pledge to begin working toward a federal government that will reestablish the rights of the people and the states as they are protected within the Constitution through the 10th Amendment.

"Above all, we must realize that no arsenal, or no weapon in the arsenals of the world, is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women. It is a weapon our adversaries in today's world do not have."
-President Ronald Reagan
"Experience should teach us to be most on our guard to protect liberty when the Government's purposes are beneficent. Men born to freedom are naturally alert to repel invasion of their liberty by evil minded rulers. The greatest dangers to liberty lurk in insidious encroachment by men of zeal well meaning but without understanding."
- Louis D. Brandeis
